Links & Friends - More Rock Steady
Links was an artists’ cooperative, formed in 1968 by The Gaylads, Ken Boothe, The Melodians, and Delroy Wilson, fed up with getting ripped off by Studio One and co. They did everything themselves — hiring Dynamic / Wirl studios, printing up labels, organising the pressings, and distributing in person to Kingston record shops

Pyramid Pieces
LP - **A compilation of Australian, modern jazz from 1969-1979!** 'Pyramid Pieces' showcases this period and the various forms of modern jazz indicative of the 'scene'; from modal and deep spiritual jazz through to avant-jazz film soundtracks and the unique sub-genre 'Eco Jazz' (a distinctive style which drew vivid inspiration from Australia's natural environment). Featuring essential tracks from celebrated Australian jazz icons such as John Sangster and Alan Lee, the collection also asserts the importance of other often overlooked groups including Jazz Co/op and The Brian Brown Quintet amongst others.

Next of Kin
LP - Soundtrack to the 'ozploitation' classic 'Next of Kin' from '82 - a highly stylised psychological thriller scored by none other than ex-Tangerine Dream / Ash Ra Tempel drummer and German electronic music pioneer, Klaus Schulze. The music featured in the film is a unique hybrid of pulsing Giallo-moods and hypnotic 'Berlin-School' electronica. This is the first time time these recordings have been made available. Remastered from the original master tapes. Highly recommended!

Kwasy i zasady Ra

Get The Music Now / Africa
7" - For the first time on 7-inch vinyl, Acid Jazz present short versions of both Get The Music Now & Africa, taken from the super rare self-titled album by Ipa-Boogie. Originally released in 1978 these tracks are some of the only known recordings by this obscure band and present the listener with some of finest afro-boogie and afro funk there is.

Bakassine Gabou / Moumouni Bassina Borou Fo
7" - These two tracks were released as a 45 in 1975, but this is so scarce that a copy is yet to surface on eBay and it isn't even listed on Discogs. But it’s not all about the rarity – 'Bakassine Gabou’ is highly-charged hypnotic dancer perfect for DJs, while 'Moumouni Bassina Borou Fo’ builds in sonic intensity by layering guitar, vocals and percussion.

฿ 750

Gbeti Ma Djro / Angelina II
7" - More dancefloor dynamite from Benin's almighty Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou Dahomey, this time in the form of 'Gbeti Ma Djro'. Confusingly described on the centre label of the 1971 original issue as ’Soul’, this is in fact a prime slice of Afro-psych-funk complete with wails and grunts over fierce drums and picked guitar. 'Angelina II’ is a much warmer affair that rides a shuffling mid-tempo pachanga groove.
