7" - More dancefloor dynamite from Benin's almighty Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou Dahomey, this time in the form of 'Gbeti Ma Djro'. Confusingly described on the centre label of the 1971 original issue as ’Soul’, this is in fact a prime slice of Afro-psych-funk complete with wails and grunts over fierce drums and picked guitar. 'Angelina II’ is a much warmer affair that rides a shuffling mid-tempo pachanga groove.

LP - Poland's premier, contemporary jazz outfit EABS, return to Astigamtic Records with a majestic new album of deep, spiritual jazz inspired by Slavic folklore. ‘Slavic Spirits’. This LP was 2 years in the making, containing 100% original material. They are joined by 22a head-honcho Tenderlonious who lends his exceptional soprano saxophone and flute playing to all seven tracks. Any fans of classic Strata East style jazz should give this a spin!

7" - For the first time on 7-inch vinyl, Acid Jazz present short versions of both Get The Music Now & Africa, taken from the super rare self-titled album by Ipa-Boogie. Originally released in 1978 these tracks are some of the only known recordings by this obscure band and present the listener with some of finest afro-boogie and afro funk there is.

LP - Soundtrack to the 'ozploitation' classic 'Next of Kin' from '82 - a highly stylised psychological thriller scored by none other than ex-Tangerine Dream / Ash Ra Tempel drummer and German electronic music pioneer, Klaus Schulze. The music featured in the film is a unique hybrid of pulsing Giallo-moods and hypnotic 'Berlin-School' electronica. This is the first time time these recordings have been made available. Remastered from the original master tapes. Highly recommended!

7" - These two tracks were released as a 45 in 1975, but this is so scarce that a copy is yet to surface on eBay and it isn't even listed on Discogs. But it’s not all about the rarity – 'Bakassine Gabou’ is highly-charged hypnotic dancer perfect for DJs, while 'Moumouni Bassina Borou Fo’ builds in sonic intensity by layering guitar, vocals and percussion.
